Amber filed for divorce from the actor on Monday

Amber has claimed she is living in fear of her estranged husband Johnny Depp.

The 30-year-old actress was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband in a Los Angeles court on Friday after claiming he had physically assaulted her.

Amber said in a written declaration that she had "endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse" during their 15-month marriage.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me. I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him," the statement reads.

"I live in fear that Johnny will return to (our house) unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally."

Despite granting the temporary order, which instructs Johnny, 52, to remain 100 yards away from his wife at all times, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carl H. Moor rejected her request for Johnny to attend one year of anger management classes.

He also did not accept her request for the restraining order to extend to keeping the actor away from her Yorkshire terrier.

Amber claims Johnny threw his iPhone at her face on Saturday and she submitted a picture of her bruised face, which she claims was taken after the incident.

However, police officials told Variety that cops found no evidence of an assault when they responded to a domestic dispute.

SDF 26th Anniversary: John Fru Ndi Mobilises Faithful

The 26th anniversary was celebrated in pomp and fanfare on May 26, 2016.

“Remain steadfast and demonstrate a high sense of discipline, shun forces of destabilization, remain vigilant in order to curb machinations and infiltration orchestrated by detractors and adversaries”. That sums up the message of the SDF National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi to party militants during the 26th anniversary of the opposition party on May, 26, 2016.

In effect, Ni John Fru Ndi criss-crossed Batibo, Bali, Bafut, Bamenda I , II and III Sub divisions encouraging faithful for standing solidly by the party in its quest for justice and democracy. He told rallies that the party is celebrating strengths in a 26- year history of storms in the face of a regime that has failed to be transparent in matters of democracy and governance.

Chairman, Fru Ndi expressed concerns about what he describes as poverty rocking a majority of Cameroonians, short supply of energy, break down of the health sector, poor road network and unemployment for the nation’s youths.

The 2018 election year featured prominently in the anniversary message with the chairman revisiting the party’s the request for a genuine independent electoral commission, consensual electoral code, complete biometrics, an electoral calendar, two round presidential election system, limitation of the presidential term to five years etc.

It was against this backdrop that Fru Ndi challenged militants to be vigilant and prepare towards any eventuality. He set July 2016 to complete the reorganization of party structures across the nation to chart the way for Regional conferences and subsequently, the SDF National Convention that has been scheduled for February, 2017.

Salatiel on new and bigger endorsement

 Salatiel is one of the most talented individuals in our generation as far as music is concerned. If we are talking about the level of musical production, he got it all. Making mention of his voice, he is just the taste of another planet. He is the FapKolo crooner and now the Hit man behind the song 'Ca se passe ici', which is a song that celebrates the Cameroon music in particular for years past and present and Africa as whole. This year 2016, Salatiel has been made 'Mutzig Star' Ambassador. Mutzig Star is a competition organised by Les Brasseries du Cameroun. This competition is presently the biggest that Cameroon has. With brasseries getting involved is evident as it standouts to be the largest brewery company in Cameroon.

Salatiel was a participant of the MUTZIG STAR 2009 edition. He is definitely not just an ambassador but a laureate of this competition. They could not be a better Model for the young talents coming up to take part in this competition. Owing to the fact that Salatiel was winner of the MTN make the music 2014, the honor is well deserved.

Stanley Enow's Career is far from ending. Did I say far from ending? It seems it wont end at all. Every single day there is one thing he does differently that keeps people on a point of awe. Stanley Enow was MTV crush last week as he flaunted on his Instagram page.

The Hip hop artist has been in Gambia lately doing works of charity and taking selfies with other Nigerian and Gambian artists.

As it has been the case over the years, it seems many Cameroonians don't seem to find Stanley's works intriguing as they always criticize him really poorly. It was not any different when Stanley showed the photos of himself and the AFRIMA  team carrying works of charity on his instagram page. Many, especially Cameroonians were like how could he be exhibiting charity actions out of his country when his country needs it most?

Brenda Biya Summoned Before California Court for Threatening Mother With Knife (read more)

Cameroon Journal, Washington D.C – Brenda Biya, daughter of President Biya and first lady Chantal of Cameroon, has been summoned before a California judge on June 1 over acts of violence in her Los Angeles apartment.

The incident which led to Police being called to the scene, The Cameroon Journal gathered, was provoked by the impromptu visit of First Lady Chantal Biya upon learning the daughter was fast acting as a deviant in Los Angeles. She had flown in to California from Cameroon on hearing of the
daughter’s heavy indulgement in drugs.

We learned that upon arrival in California – just before last week’s 20th May celebrations in Yaounde, Chantal had come with instructions from President Biya to get Brenda out of California and the United States as a whole. But upon getting the news from the mother, Brenda didn’t only fiercely resist the idea of leaving the country. She took to the rampage and began breaking up things in the apartment to demonstrate her disapproval of the plan.

Brenda then resorted to a knife, leaving Chantal feeling threatened.  Chantal allegedly called for help. But before the help could come, neighbors who could hear the commotion in Brenda’s apartment, called the Los Angelis cops and they caught her still toting the knife and she was arrested. In the United States, wielding a knife in a threatening way is a felony and could earn Brenda some jail time if convicted.

We learned that she and the mother left the U.S right after the Police intervention and she shall only be represented in court on the June 1 hearing by a lawyer. She and the mother flew to Geneva after the incident. President Biya is expected to meet them in Geneva one of these days for the family to sort out the situation, The Cameroon Journal learned.

Bamenda Murder: Fon Declares Act as Abomination;See decision taken

This is what we know as of now since the horrific Bamenda incident.

1. The Nkwen traditional authority popularly called the kwifor or ngumba has sealed the room of a student in Mile three Nkwen. The sealing took place this Tuesday May 25, 2016 following the stabbing to death of one Oben who was visiting a girlfriend.

2. The guy who died is called Oben. He has been a regulate visitor to the room of Orock Mirabel-the girlfriend. The boyfriend who stabbed Oben to death is called Obi, also hailed from Mamyu. Both of them knew they were dating Mirabel about a month ago.

3. Mirabel, 20 and Obi 22 are all first year students at St Louis University Institute Bamenda. They lived just 20 meters from each other.

4. The deceased Oben is a teacher waiting integration into the public service. He has a hospitalized women in Kumba considered his wife whom he left before coming for his Bamenda based student-friend.

5. Orock Mirabel has been taken by the police for questioning, Oben handed to the uncle for the mortuary while Obi is nowhere to be found.

6. Considering the event as an abomination, the Fon of Nkwen says the Kwifor will give a list of things for the house owner to provide before the cleansing is done. “it is only after that that someone will be allowed to open the door and use the room.

7. The Fon of Nkwen has pleaded with the students to respect their parents and concentrate on their school work for a better life tomorrow. He maintained that all those residing in Nkwen are sons and daughters of the Fondom and consequently must respect the customs and traditions of the Nkwen.

T.B. Joshua talks on food scarcity - "You have not seen anything yet”

On Sunday May 22, 2016, T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), made some shocking revelations on his Emmanuel TV station concerning Nigeria and the world at large.  The ‘prophet’ spoke on many issues including the recent EgyptAir crash, African politics and agriculture, even warning of a terrorist attack in the United Kingdom.

He read out a transcript of the prophecies he had given during his New Year’s Crossover Service, highlighting particularly the national food scarcity. On each point read, he expanded further, detailing what Nigeria and Africa are to expect in the nearest future.

FOOD SCARCITY
“There will be large scale scarcity, shortage of food. As a state, country, continent, we have to go back to the farm to arrest, to alleviate the forthcoming situation”, he read. Further expanding on the details of the prophecy, he said, “It is only a ‘shortage’ that you are experiencing now; you have not experienced ‘large scale.’ ” Giving further insight, he proclaimed, “This one that I am saying now, ‘scarcity’, ‘large scale’, it's a proverb. Whatever you can do from now till December - all of your money you will use to buy food - you will not have enough to buy.”
Advising those in the real-estate business he said,
“If you are the type planning to build a house now, stop it for the mean time. If you are in the business of buying land, stop it for the mean time - look for another business. Stop it for the mean time until February next year. Use that money on the need of people now.”
Giving a sombre warning, he said, “I'm preparing you. Get ready; lager scale scarcity is coming!”

In the last few days, Nigerians have woken up to the stark reality of the rising food scarcity. Several reports were released on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday detailing the extent of the current national food woes. Tomato ebola, violence from fulani herdsmen, missed harvests and rising transportation costs have all been attributed as the cause of the food shortage and spiralling food prices.

On the rise of "tomato ebola", Kaduna state agriculture commissioner, Manzo Daniel, said:
"This is only the beginning of a disaster if we don’t take drastic measures because the disease is fast spreading across the north.”
NIGERIA'S ECONOMY
On the economic plight Nigerians are facing, Joshua read from his beginning of year prophecies:
“The president will do everything to reject devaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. But there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist. Nigeria, we are in a valley. The future is crying for help.”
Expanding on the ‘valley’, Joshua said:
 “I explained that we are in a valley but it is not the valley of the shadow of death. There is no snake or scorpion, it's different. When you are in the valley you will cry and cry but you will still get out of the valley.”
“You have to continue to cut your coat according to your size. Don't just continue to spend your money on something that won't be able to help you. Spend your money on something that the whole world will be looking for - food, shelter.”
 AFRICAN POLITICS
Moving on the political climate in Africa, Joshua noted:
 “African leaders should quickly arrest the political situation. 50% of counties that do elections, at least 45% of them will face crisis.  More African countries will be under siege by terrorists because of pros and cons in choosing leaders. Mishandling of electoral processes will create a conducive atmosphere for terrorists.”
 UK TERROR WARNING
Joshua also claimed to have seen an attack in the United Kingdom. He said:
“Pray for the United Kingdom like the railways, people, and crowds where people gather because I'm seeing some funny people in their country. But I am seeing with prayer and proper security it will be avoided but there will be a sign or trace that this happened but it will not happen the way that it was supposed to have happened but they will know that something happened there.”
 The day following Joshua's warning, 27 schools had to close nationwide in the UK due to a bomb scare. Apparently, anonymous repeated calls were made to each school, warning of explosive devices. The callers told the receptionists that "if the school called the police the bomb would be detonated immediately". The threats continued on Tuesday with more schools being evacuated.

ANOTHER PLANE INCIDENT
On the Egypt Air crash, Joshua said:
 “Egypt has happened and the other one I am seeing is very close and I am going to say the country and the place. This one that I am seeing now is bigger than the one that happened. This one is very close now.
Every airport security must be tight. You should be careful who you employ to fly as a pilot or flight attendant because they too will apply for this kind of job and they will be patient enough; if it is one or two years they will be patient until the achieve their goal.”

The cleric dishes out national and international predictions on a regular basis, using the platform of his Sunday services, broadcast live on his Emmanuel TV.

While some embrace his prophecies, upholding him as an end-time prophet, others are highly sceptical. Despite mixed reactions to his prophecies and purported miracles, Joshua has a huge following worldwide, with his YouTube Channel having over 350,000 subscribers and 2.2million following him on Facebook.

Married man killed in girlfriend’s house by jealous boyfriend in Bamenda [+video]

Social media says The crime supposedly happened around FONAB polytechnic in Bamenda, committed by a student supposely from St. Louis ( a nursing school) The deceased left his wife with the story that he was going to Bamenda for a medical check up whereas in was going in search of his girl friend. Arriving Bamenda, the girl in question was in the room with another boy assumed to be her boyfriend. After several rumors of her dead before now, Anne-marie Nzie, Cameroon’s ‘Golden Voice’ has died in Yaounde, Cameroon today, based on reports from Cameroon media sources. She was She was 84 years old. She recorded her last album (songs below) at age 67… Sad day!

Cameroon’s Enganamouit misses out on top football award

Cameroonian forward and African Women’s Player of the Year 2015, Gaelle Deborah Enganamouit, has lost out on the second BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award.

The award was won by Scotland and Seattle Reign midfielder 25-year old Kim Little, who topped the supporters poll to win the second edition of the award organized by the British broadcaster

Kim fended off competiotion from Gaelle Enganamouit (FC Rosengard, Sweden), and three others; Amandine Henry (Olympique Lyonnais), Carli Lloyd (Houston Dash) and Becky Sauerbrunn (FC Kansas City).

“I’m surprised to win, I’m extremely humbled to win, women’s football is in a great place. Hopefully it will progress further,” she said whiles receiving the award at her club’s training ground on Tuesday.

The maiden edition of the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award was won by another African, Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala who was then the reigning African Women’s Player of the Year.

The Cameroonian has been capped 43 times for the Indomitable Lionesses helping them to reach the last 16 of the Women’s World Cup in Canada last year. She has scored 10 goals for Cameroon including a hat-trick against defending champions Japan at the world stage.

Popular Nigerian Pastor gives out 32 cars as he celebrates his birthday. Nollywood actors benefit

Pastor Joshua Iginla, a popular Abuja based clergy man and the Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly gave out 32 cars including 16 SUVs at his birthday celebration which held at his church premises yesterday May 23rd.

According to his church members, six Nollywood actors including Alex Usifo, Jide Kosoko, Thelma Nwosu, Sunday Omobolanle, and actresses got Hummer jeep 3 series, Mercedes G-Wagon and Mercedes CLS 550.

Indomitable Lions:Kameni Carlos finally takes his rightful place

The Malaga goalkeeper was invited by the breeder to join the group this morning in Nantes, while there are reports of the package Benjamin Moukandjo.

Hugo Broos, the coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, has certainly thought better of what many observers have called "the scandal" of his list of players summoned for the double confrontation France - Cameroon and Mauritania - Cameroon.

Nobody understood the absence of Carlos Kameni in this list. According to reliable sources, Hugo Broos had a phone call yesterday to Carlos Kameni, the Malaga goalkeeper, the club in La Liga. He asked him to join the group this morning in Nantes.

Louis Van Gaal has reportedly been sacked by Manchester United

Manchester United's manager Louis Van Gaal has reportedly been sacked and has left the club along with his staff, reports say.

The club will make a statement at 1pm where they are expected to confirm that the 64-year-old is no longer the team's manager.

Van Gaal and his Dutch coaching team have been informed that the club has ended their contracts, according to reports.

Sky's Paul Kelso said the decision had seemed "pretty certain" since it was revealed on Saturday evening that Manchester United were preparing to appoint Jose Mourinho as manager.

Van Gaal told a Sky Sports reporter "it's over" outside the team's hotel in London on Sunday.

United insisted that he was referring purely to the season being "over" - not his reign as manager

Meet two brothers who now live as women (Photos)

Two brothers who had always loved dressing up in skirts and playing with dolls when they were kids have now transitioned into transgender females. But for years the O’Herlihy brothers did not tell anyone, not even each other, how much uncomfortable they were living as men.
Finally, one day, they opened up to each other and discovered they were going through the same gender battle.

Jamie, 23, who kept her birth name, and Chloe, 20, who used to be called Daniel, said it was amazing to be able to reveal their secrets to each other and help each other.

Jamie who is a bartender in Dublin said:

‘It was a huge relief for me when Chloe told me because I felt like we were in it together. ‘We had always been in it together from the start but we just didn’t realise. ‘I don’t feel either of us has influenced the other, we were born this way. But I do think it’s amazing that we’re on this journey together. Chloe is my greatest supporter and doing it together has helped us both.’
