Mother faces 20 years in prison for disciplining her sons who burglarized their neighbour's home (+video)

A mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 30 year old Schaquana Spears, who beat her young sons for stealing their neighbour's properties, has found herself in trouble with the law, and is now at the center of a US national debate over how she chose to discipline her children.

"I was being a mother who loves her kids, who wants to protect her kids, and steer them in the right direction."
Spears ran to her house after her neighbor told her that she had seen her kids burglarizing their other neighbour's home. Spears left work and ran home where she saw her children and some of their friends all carrying properties they had stolen. The friends ran out of the house but Spears was able to catch her 3 sons, aged 13, 12 and 10 and according to her, she whipped them with a belt. She also made them return the properties.
According to police documents, Spears beat her 13-year-old son with an electrical chord, but she denied using an electric chord, instead saying she used a belt, that caused visible marks on his body. Her two other sons also had visible injuries.

The son reported his mom to the authorities who came to the house, arrested Spears for child abuse and took all her 6 children from her. Her kids are 13, 12, 10, 8, 6 and 2 years old.
She was bailed from jail by a good Samaritan who heard about the incident and the subsequent arrest of Spears. She is also been currently represented pro-bono by a lawyer who saw the viral video of her interview.
"I reacted and I'm the bad guy, it's not right." "I'd rather discipline my kids than for them to be beaten in the street, caught in someone's home murdered, or in someone's prison and me having to visit," Spears said.
Spears added that she is a good mum who sent all her children to great schools and they are all in honour rolls.

She said their father is in prison and she didn't want her children to end up there as well.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services said "reasonable, constructive discipline is a healthy part of parenting ...but it crosses into abuse when it leaves a child cut, burned, bloody or bruised."

The state attorney general is looking into the case, and the local district attorney still hasn't filed charges. If charges are filed, Spears could face 20 years in prison. Louisiana mom could face felony charges after punishing sons for robbery.

Cameroon Gay Activist Celebrates Acceptance in San Francisco

Cameroon Gay Activist Celebrates Acceptance in San Francisco
Of the hundreds of thousands of spectators pouring into San Francisco to celebrate Pride and the strides of the gay community this weekend, one spectator will have an even greater sense of its meaning.

Like many of those celebrating, Cedric Tchante made the decision to “come out” as a gay man. But that decision carried with it additional risks and dangers in his native Cameroon where he grew-up, and where homosexuality is strictly frowned-upon.

Following the revelation of his sexuality in his college years, his life was filled with frequent threats, beatings and discrimination. But the threats only deepened his commitment as an LGBT activist, in a country where gay sexual activity is illegal.

“When you choose to be an activist in Cameroon,” Tchante said in the San Francisco office of Climb Real Estate where he works in marketing, “you decide to live with the danger.”

Danger certainly set its sites on Tchante back in Cameroon. Gangs of anti-gay thugs beat him on several occasions outside his home. There were death threats. But it was when those threats took aim at his family that a line had been breached.

“So when they begin to touch people I love,” Tchante said, “it was something I can’t accept.”

Back in Camerooon, Tchante sat in a dark room hurriedly packing his belongings, pondering a future far from home in the U.S., a country where he’d heard homosexuality was mostly accepted.

It was far from the atmosphere in Cameroon where he worked as an activist comforting and supporting others facing the same anti-gay discrimination — visiting police stations to rescue gay arrestees — listening to Sunday sermons where preachers would warn that gays were inhabited by the devil.

In that moment he weighed his decision to appear in a documentary called Born This Way, a film about his underground activities rescuing and supporting gay young people — all under the weight of the personal threats to his own life. In one scene he gripped a note that read “You think you can run, we will find you.”

“So I decide to be in the documentary because it was very important for me and my community,” Tchante said without a trace of regret.

The film wasn’t shown in Cameroon. But clips made it onto YouTube. He could no longer operate from the periphery — he was now out there. Under the cover of darkness he fled his country and eventually made his way to San Francisco where he now lives and works.

His boisterous laugh regularly echoes through the offices of Climb Real Estate — where co-workers slowly learned of his backstory.

“I think he’s got such an interesting story as an activist,” said Climb Real Estate co-founder Chris Lim, ”as a person who’s overcome insurmountable struggles.”

Though Tchante’s re-location to the U.S. took him far from the threats of Cameroon, it didn’t end his activism. After work each night he heads home to his computer where he continues to advise LGBT activists back home while providing support for the young LGBT Cameroon community still grappling for acceptance.

“I always ask them to be strong, to always be happy,” Tchante said. “When you’re happy, you make your enemies mad.”

Tchante’s enemies would probably be furious if they could see him now, joking and brimming with excitement at the new life of acceptance he’s found.

“His joy is infectious,” said friend Jenny Raymond, “and I think that’s just an incredible thing given where he’s come from.”

The tears still come when Tchante thinks of home, and his mother who still lives in Cameroon — whom he fondly describes as “the only woman I’ve ever loved.”

But now as he walks down the street of the Castro neighborhood where he lives, his eyes are aimed firmly at the future — no longer looking over his shoulder.

Pregnant woman dies as roof of theatre caves in during live surgical operation in Ghana (photos)

The surgery theater at the Effia-Nkwanta regional hospital in Takoradi in the Western region, Ghana, caved in during a live surgical operation.

The development caused a temporary hold up on three ongoing operation and doctors had to transfer the patients to Kwesi Mintin Hospital for the process to continue. One of the patients, a 31-year-old pregnant woman died. Her death are being attributed to the incident.

According to local media, she died due to unavailability of blood transfusion equipment or 'giving set' at the hospital. But the medical Director of Effa Nkwanta Hospital, Dr. Kwau Ntodi in an interview with Joy News correspondent Francis Whajah denied the report. He said the lady could have died even if the incident had not happened because she had a ruptured uterus.

Her death, he said, could not have been as a result of the movement from the hospital to another. The medical officer who attended to the deceased on arrival said the baby had already died before they arrived at the hospital.

Person of Interest: Raptors’ No. 27 pick Cameroon's Pascal Siakam [+video]

sakiam pascal
Just a couple hours after taking Austrian big man Jakob Poeltl ninth overall, the Toronto Raptors appeared to go off the board a bit with the No. 27 selection to take Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam.

Here’s what you need to know about the second first-round pick made by Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri that made basically everyone go, “Wait, who?”

Name: Pascal Siakam
Position: Power forward
Height: 6-foot-10 | Weight: 227 pounds
Drafted: 2016 – First round, 27th overall by the Toronto Raptors
2015-16 collegiate stats: 20.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 54.9 FG%
While a Cameroon native, Siakam played his college ball at New Mexico State where he was recruited to after moving to the United States at age 16 in order to devote himself to getting a basketball scholarship and earning a professional contract one day.

As such, he isn’t a complete greenhorn project the way Bruno Caboclo was when he was first drafted in 2014. Siakam does have a ways to go from a development standpoint, but he has been playing high-level basketball for the past two seasons.

Did the Raptors really go that off the board?
In short, yes.

According to DraftExpress.com, Siakam was the 52nd best prospect out of the top-100 2016 prospects and in mock drafts was expected to be picked in the early-to-mid stages of the second round. The Raptors, on the other hand, ended up taking him in the first.

Granted, it was very late in the first round, but that’s about 15 picks higher than he was projected to go.

Compound this with the fact projected lottery picks Deyonta Davis, Skal Labissiere and Dejounte Murray were all still on the board and you have a recipe for a classic reach.

The Raptors may not have had a second-round pick, but that doesn’t mean they should’ve went out and got a second-round prospect.

He’s not without pedigree
With that said, however, that isn’t to say Siakam is talentless. Far from it, in fact.

In his two seasons at New Mexico State, Siakam ended up being named WAC freshman and WAC player of the year, respectively.

As previously stated, despite the pick being a reach, this isn’t a Caboclo situation where the prospect Ujiri is bringing in has next to no high-level basketball experience, yet alone accomplishments.

In the two seasons Siakam played with the Aggies he showed real shot blocking instincts, something that will instantly draw him comparisons to Raptors free-agent-to-be Bismack Biyombo, who is also an athletic, all-energy, shot-blocking big man.

Donald Trump in Scotland;calls Brexit a ‘great thing’

'They took back control of their country' Donald Trump calls Brexit a ‘great thing’ after arriving Scotland

After British citizens voted yesterday to remove Britain from the European Union, U.S Republican Presidential candidate endorsed the exit, calling it a great thing and that the British people 'took back control of their country'.

The billionaire businessman arrived at his Scottish golf course, Trump Turnberry, in a private chopper during the reopening of the refurbished Open venue golf resort.

Crowds greeted him wearing ‘Make Turnberry Great Again’ hats, as he cut the ribbon on the golf course's £200 million refurbishment. He said there were parallels with the US and elsewhere. “People do not necessarily want people pouring over their borders,” he said.

“The UK will be stronger for it. They have taken their independence back. They can block anyone coming in they do not think is appropriate.”
 “We will embrace it,”
“The UK had taken back control. It is a great thing.”
Trump described the referendum result as a historic vote and predicted many such uprisings around the world. “It will not be the last. There is lots of anger,” he said.

David Cameron steps down as UK Prime Minister

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5e/
UK Prime Minister David Cameron resigned today after his devastating defeat in the EU referendum. He had fought strongly for Britain to remain in the EU but lost. He said he will stay in post till about October this year when a new Prime Minister is chosen. He said the country requires fresh leadership.

Cameron's voice broke as he spoke outside Downing Street this morning with his wife Samantha in tears next to him. “We should aim to have a new prime minister in place by the start of the Conservative Party conference in October," he told the media after the country voted to leave the European Union.

The Brexit campaign officially passed the winning post in the EU referendum at around 6am today, triggering a political earthquake and panic in the markets. Nigel Farage earlier declared it to be 'independence day' and a 'victory for real people' as the Leave campaign racked up votes across England and Wales - defying the verdict of London, Scotland and most of the big cities.

The Pound - which soared in value earlier after Nigel Farage admitted he thought Brexit had lost - has nose-dived against US dollar to its lowest level for 31 years. And more than £100billion was wiped off the FTSE 100 within minutes as markets opened on Friday as Britain's decision caused turmoil across global exchanges.

EU referendum results: Britain votes to leave the EU;see results here

http://blog.sonneil.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/

Brexit is official! With 16,737,273 votes for Leave, Britain has voted to leave the EU, breaking the winning post in the referendum. Leave won 52% to 48%, with England and Wales voting for Leave while Scotland and Northern Ireland voted for 'Stay'.

This exit has plunged the pound against the dollar to its lowest level since 1985 as Britain lurched towards Brexit. Sterling has crashed nearly 10% to $1.34, and by more than 6% against the euro. Gold is up nearly by 6% this morning.
US markets were expected to open down 550 points on Friday morning. Trading in Tokyo was halted after stocks plunged nearly 7 per cent, while South Korea's Kospi tumbled about 4 per cent.
Crude oil prices also took a hit. As results poured in, a picture emerged of a sharply divided nation: Strong pro-EU votes in the economic and cultural powerhouse of London and semi-autonomous Scotland were countered by sweeping anti-Establishment sentiment for an exit across the rest of England, from southern seaside towns to rust-belt former industrial powerhouses in the north.

Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party, has declared June 23 Britain's 'Independence Day'.

One expert forecast the UK, will plunge back into recession.

Kathleen Brooks, of City Index, predicted shares in big banks would tumble at least 10% when markets open. She said:
“This is bad news for the country, the economy and the UK’s position in the world order. “In other words, for now at least we should batten down the hatches.”

Meanwhile, in Europe, far-right leader Geert Wilders has reportedly called for a Dutch EU Referendum “as soon as possible.”
The Party said: “The United Kingdom is leading the way to the future and liberation. The time is now for a new start, trusting in its own strength and sovereignty. Also in the Netherlands”

Prime Minister David Cameron, who called the referendum and led the 'remain' campaign, faces an uncertain future with this result.

Former London Mayor Boris Johnson. If 'leave' wins, he may have no choice but to resign.

'If the prime minister loses this I don't see how he can survive as prime minister,' said Scottish National Party lawmaker Alex Salmond.

Anglophone Groups Sign Cooperation Pact to Fight Marginalization of Southern Cameroons,

Representatives of the different groups at the Bamenda meeting.
Cameroon Journal, Bamemda – Some eight Anglophone pressure groups fighting the marginalization of Anglophone culture in general and Anglophone education in particular, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to enable them confront their common enemy like in “Opopo” one man, one power. The team of eight gathered in Bamenda to sign the MoU Tuesday, June 22.

The eight pressure groups include the National Union of Teachers of Higher Education, SYNES, University of Buea Chapter; Cameroon Teachers’ Trade Union, CATTU; Teachers Association of Cameroon, TAC; and Presbyterian Education Authority Teachers Trade Union, PEATTU. The others are Baptist Teachers Trade Union, BATTU; Catholic Education Workers’ Trade Union, CEWOTU; All Anglophone Common Law Lawyers Conference; and Union of Parent – Teacher Associations, UPTA.

According to a press release issued by the group, they note that they were signing the MoU “mindful of the problems inherent in the Anglophone system of education and their impact on our existence as a cultural entity.”

The release cites three reasons for coming together: to exchange information relating to teaching, teacher training, professional training and learning at different levels of the Anglophone system of education; to carry out studies relating to problems affecting such and to make the results of such studies known to the public and the appropriate authority; and to meet regularly to discuss, issue communiqu̩s and newsletters to educate and sensitize the public on issues of socio Рeducational and cultural importance.

After signing the MoU, the group of eight immediately went into action by addressing a seven page memorandum to the Prime Minister and Head of Government. The memorandum to the Prime Minister is titled “Barefaced attempts by the Minister of Higher Education to alienate Anglophones in Cameroon.”

The group has vowed not to let the powers that be have any rest until issues affecting Anglophone Education have been handled to acceptable standards. “We would like to recall that the Universities of Buea and Bamenda were created by Presidential Decrees specifying that their character is Anglo – Saxon, a tacit recognition by the Head of State that Cameroon is made up of French – speaking and English – speaking peoples. But what the Minister of Higher Education and his collaborators have done is – flout the President Decrees and install a cabal that is out to humiliate, alienate and  discriminate against Anglophones,” the memo to the Prime Minister reads in part.

It goes ahead to address issues affecting Anglophone education in Cameroon, stating in categorical terms that “this must stop or else there will be no peace.” The memo addresses issues like the
marginalization of Anglophone students into professional schools; the recentralization of admission into medical schools; harmonization/uniformization of university programmes; recruitment of teachers who are not proficient in English, amongst other issues. The memo notes that “the very institutions which were meant to give the people a sense of belonging are today being used to divide them, humiliate them, discriminate and marginalize them.”

The memo goes further to suggest that “the plots and evil designs of the Minister of Higher
Education make Anglophones to genuinely feel that Cameroon is an institutionalized conspiracy to degrade and wipe out the identity of Anglophones.”

Some of the 10 points which the Anglophone pressure groups demand the Prime Minister to address include: the exclusion of the Universities of Buea and Bamenda from Minister Fame Ndongo’s on-going harmonization/uniformization project; that henceforth admission into the colleges of Medicine in the English-speaking State and Private Universities be conducted transparently in English; that henceforth

the language requirement for admission into English- speaking institutions be respected not only by Anglophones, but by Francophones as well.

Other demands are that Anglophones be appointed to oversee academic affairs in English-speaking institutions and medical schools; that francophone teachers who do not have the linguistic profile to
teach in English-speaking institutions or cannot speak English be redeployed to French-speaking institutions; that the Universities of Buea and Bamenda interview and recruit their lecturers according to their needs as it used to be; and that an independent commission be set up to investigate the injustices and humiliation Anglophone children and their sub-system have suffered in education in the last 10 years, amongst others.

Speaking to The Cameroon Journal after signing the MoU, James Arrey Abangma, President of SYNES, University of Buea Chapter, noted that the English sub system of education was being eroded by unnecessary changes. “The changes are being made to swallow Anglophone education, and we can’t sit back to see it happen,” Prof Abangma stated.

“Anglophone Cameroon is considered an appendix but we will prove by our action that we are an entity, not an appendix,” Prof Abangma said. In the meantime, Tassang Wilfred, National Executive Secretary General of CATTU, said the fight to restore genuine Anglo-Saxon education in Cameroon was a fight for all. “The synergy has just begun,” Tassang noted. “It must grow to include professionals and career people of all sectors, including journalists, medical doctors, accountants, engineers, transporters, business people, market women, farmers, and others,” Tassang stated.

CDC Head Office Leaving Southwest for Yaounde Permanently

http://www.cameroonjournal.com/wp-content/themes/_city-desk/
Cameroon Journal, Yaounde –  The Cameroon Journal has learned that negotiations
are being finalised for the transfer of the head office of the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC from Bota-Limbe to Yaounde.

Though The Journal did not immediately confirm reasons for the imminent move, we however, gathered that the decision is in line with the new status of the corporation.

It should be recalled that presidential decree N° 2016/031 of 19 January, 2016, signed by Cameroon’s strongman, Paul Biya recently transformed the corporation into a multi-engaging public utility corporation with the state as unique owner of all shares.

The decree transforming the CDC which floated in 1947 under the pre-independence British administration into a new statute has largely been criticised by Anglophone groupings who see it as a calculated attempt of destabilize and kill the company as happened to POWERCAM, Cameroon Bank and others. The CDC currently employs some 22,036 employees. It is yet unclear when the move will be implemented.

A source in Limbe however confided in us that the transfer could take place this November after a board meeting of the corporation.

The Secretary General of the South West Elite Association, SWELA, Joseph Moki Etukeni described it as an “unfortunate situation.’’

The SWELA scribe observed, “You can remember that the moment the new status came out, I called a general secretariat meeting in Kumba during which we were very hard on the issue.” Part of the SWELA communiqué issued in January 2016 reads:

“That the nationalization of CDC, just like the National Produce Marketing Board which collapsed and liberalization came and left the farmers with mushroom conservative societies without personnel and follow up. CDC operations like Pamol are based on the Common Law System. That a decree already signed by the President of the Republic stipulating the implementation of the OHADA Law which indeed is an off-shoot of the Civil Law System and the possible movement of the Headquarters to any part of the country by the general assembly leaves SWELA completely opposed to the move.”
Bananas are some of the major brand the CDC has been cultivating and exporting for years.
“CDC remains the only legacy to the South Westerners and Anglophones at large, SWELA orders that CDC should be left in her old Status’.’

All attempts to get Franklin Ngoni Ikome Njie, General Manager of CDC react to the widely-spread information were futile. His telephone remained unreachable.

In the meantime, the new statute of the CDC transformed the corporation into a multi-engaging public utility corporation with the state being the unique owner of all shares.

Bamenda-Cameroon: Lawyers go on protest march against proposed panel code amendments

Bamenda-Cameroon: Lawyers go on protest march against proposed panel code amendments
There is still the Senate for the revised Penal Code to pass through,North West lawyers are now staging a peaceful demonstration against the bill. The Lawyers want the bill withdrawn from the parliament.

The bill that has 370 articles, seeks to update the Penal Code that Cameroon has been using since 1967. Many of the provisions of the almost half a century Penal Code are obsolete and stand at variance with the evolution of time. They are at odds with the current socio-economic and political dispensation of the country.

According to the protesting Lawyers, it is wrong to think that Ministers should have immunity worst still the fact that any judge who tries a minister and sentences him will be sent to jail.

They express their discontent with the new law which says that says tenants who do not pay rents for two months will be thrown in jail.

The Lawyers are also saying that it is hypocritical to say that homosexuality should be fined for FCFA 20 000 if found guilty. Considering the act of homosexuality as repugnant to natural justice, the law users say everyone could be homosexual and careless if dragged to court "after all if found guilty what is 20 000frs."

'Jesus' statue doesn't get burnt as firefighters retrieve debris from burning New York religious shop (photo)

A 'Jesus' statue in a religious shop located in Brooklyn, New York didn't get burnt as fire, which broke out on Broadway near Belvidere St. in Bushwick at 12:28 p.m., left the shop seriously damaged with a pile of charred debris on the sidewalk, according to witnesses.

Quick-moving firefighters swept into the fire and pulled out a 4-foot statue of Jesus basically unscathed.

“God is good. He was here today,” said Evelyn Arroyo, 56, who works in the shop. “Everything in here is material, but your life is more important. It could have been worse.”

“We were cleaning the floors, and I went out for a few minutes, and then there was smoke, and then fire broke out,” she said. “It happened so quick.”

“Thank God someone came in,” Arroyo said. “She didn’t realize there was smoke. She was in shock.”

Arroyo said she’s grateful for the actions of the firefighters. “I pray for them and their families,” she said.

Cameroon: Men who commit adultery may be sent to jail

Men who commit adultery could be sent to jail under a new law being debated by parliament in Cameroon.

The law, which has the backing of President’s Paul Biya’s party, is expected to be approved.

Currently, women can be jailed for between two to six moths for having sexual relations outside marriage.

Bar Association head Ngnie Kamga has said that the law would “take Cameroon backwards and would send more people to prisons”.

Higher Education: Three Fake Foreign Certificates Detected

diploma1
The National Evaluation Commission For Training Domains Offered Abroad held its 80th session yesterday.Members of the National Evaluation Commission For Training Domains Offered Abroad held its 80th session yesterday June 22, 2016 during which a fake foreign diploma was uncovered. The session, which was chaired by the President of the Commission, Minister of Higher Education, Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Commission, Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Ange Angouing, verified the authenticity of some 289 foreign certificates obtained by Cameroonians abroad while giving these certificates an equivalent in the country.
The certificates, which include CEF, BEPC, Baccalaureat, GCE/AL, DEUG, Bachelor, DEA, Masters and Doctorate. Professional diploma- CAP, BT, BP, BTS, HND, postgraduate, professional bachelor and Master, doctorate in medicine and pharmacy, among others are coming from 37 countries in the world’s eight continents. The commission made proposals on equivalence between foreign and national certificates, academic titles and grades, as well as recognised foreign institutions whose certificates can lead to the absorption, reclassification or advancement of civil servants of the various corps of the Cameroonian civil service while respecting the rules and regulations in force.
Amongst the certificates examined were three fake diplomas. According to the Director in Charge of the Coordination of Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, Professor Wilfred Gabsa, the number of fake certificates detected this year is not much as compared to past years. The National Commission also rejected three certificates and sent one back to the inter-ministerial sub-technical committees for re-evaluation.
Prof Gabsa said these diplomas have effectively gone through three different inter-ministerial sub-technical committees which were made up of experts from the Ministries in charge of  Secondary Education, Professional Training, Public Health  and had began the job of scrutinising foreign diplomas. These committees have already taken decisions that were re-examined and validated by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Training Domains Offered Abroad.

Cristiano Ronaldo shows why he's boss (Match analysis/photos)

Well, he’s back!! Like a Portuguese re-make of Superman III, in the most thrilling game of Euro 2016. Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo showed why he's boss with two goals and an assist to help Portugal muster a 3-3 draw with Hungary and have qualified as 'best loser' for the next round of Euro 2016 after Iceland's 2-1 win over Austria.

Portugal and star player Cristiano Ronaldo came into the match knowing that a win will grant them automatic qualification into the next round but were stunned when Hungary scored the first goal of the match through Zoltan Gera in the 19th minute.

Portugal, despite having more scoring attempts, were not clinical enough and always fell for Hungary's tactical counter-attacking moves with Portugal also having efforts rules as offside.
Towards  the end of the first half, a counter attacking move led to Cristiano Ronaldo giving a well timed assist to Nani who slotted the ball in the rear corner with his left foot. It was 1-1 , game on. Half Time.

Iceland meanwhile were 1-0 up against Austria as at halftime, and needed to win the match and hope Portugal draw in order to qualify.
The second half started with Portugal coach Fernando Santos playing Cristiano Ronaldo more centrally but Hungary shocked the bookmakers with another goal two minutes after resumption of the second half with a deflected free kick effort from Dzsudzsak. Scoreline was 2-1 in favour of Hungary.
Moutinho who was wasteful and ineffective with possession was replaced by 18 year old Renato Sanchez and the game changed to Portugal's favour as C.Ronaldo equalized 3 minutes after Hungary's goal with a well placed header. 2-2!

The heat was on! Hungarian and Portuguese fans were wild with celebrations and chants as the game frantically played out.

Five minutes later, Hungarian captain Dzsudzsak scored again, 3-2!
Portugal striker Ronaldo was mortified and filled with anger, he couldn't believe his eyes. Hungary were leading 3-2 , but with 35 minutes to go he believed he could still get a result from the match.
At the 62nd minute after the introduction of Quaresma (a game changing substitution), Cristiano Ronaldo stylishly flicked the ball into the net to level the scores at 3-3.

With Iceland winning Austria, Portugal have qualified to the next round as best losers, and Ronaldo will beat his chest and say he proved his critics and haters wrong with this performance.

Clinton is "a world-class liar,"-Donald Trump

New York (CNN)Donald Trump sought to regain control of his campaign narrative Wednesday by turning attention away from the turmoil roiling his operation and onto his likely general election opponent Hillary Clinton.

Clinton is "a world-class liar," Trump said during a speech in New York. "Just look at her pathetic email and server statements ... or her phony landing in Bosnia, where she said she was under attack but the attack turned out to be young girls handing her flowers."
He called her message "old and tired."

"Her message is that things can't change," Trump said. "My message is that things have to change -- and this is our one chance to do it and may be our only chance to do that change."

The speech comes as Trump tries to get back on offense after weeks of self-inflicted wounds that included racially charged criticism of a judge overseeing a case related to Trump University and a controversial response to the Orlando terror attack. Trump has come under withering criticism from Clinton and prominent Democratic surrogates including President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren and has sometimes struggled to counter the assault.
Clinton gave a scorching speech Tuesday where she repeatedly criticized Trump's business competence, which is at the heart of his public persona.

"A few days ago, he said, 'I'm going to do for the country what I did for my business,'" Clinton said during her speech in the crucial battleground state of Ohio. "So let's take a look at what he has done. He's written a lot of books about business -- they all seem to end at Chapter 11."
Trump's speech aimed to dissect Clinton's personality and positions on issues ranging from trade and foreign policy to paint the former secretary of state as someone who is out of touch with workers and has enriched herself "at America's expense."

Clinton, he said, "may be the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency of the United States."
Trump said he is seeking the White House to "end the unfairness and to put you, the American worker, first. It's about time."
He accused Clinton of supporting the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which she has said she opposes, and argued she would enact free trad policies as president that would upend the U.S. economy.

"We will lose jobs, we will lose employment, we will lose taxes," Trump said. "We will lose everything. We will lose our country."
Trump also lambasted Clinton on foreign policy, accusing her of "almost single-handedly destabilizing the entire Middle East" during her time as secretary of state.

Once again, Trump falsely claimed to have argued against the war in Iraq before the U.S. invaded the country. Trump was publicly supportive of the war a month before Congress voted to authorize the use of military force and praised the war's direction in the early months of the campaign.
And he said Clinton may be disqualified from the presidency on the basis that the emails on her private email server may have been hacked by foreign enemies -- though there's no evidence of such a breach.

"While we may not know what is in those deleted emails, our enemies probably know every single one of them," Trump said of the emails Clinton deleted and did not hand over to the State Department.
After weeks of being on the receiving end of Clinton's rhetoric, Trump sought to turn her words against her. Clinton frequently tells audiences Trump lacks the "temperament" for the presidency -- a criticism Trump threw back at her.

"Hillary Clinton wants to be President," he said. "But she doesn't have the temperament, or, as Bernie Sanders' said, the judgement, to be president. She believes she is entitled to the office."

Sepp Blatter reveals frozen balls used to fix European club draws

http://blogs-images.forbes.com/jasonbelzer/files/2015/09/
Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has said frozen balls containing team names have been used to rig European football’s club competition draws.
Draws to decide which teams play each other are conducted by selecting the table tennis-size balls from plastic bowls. The balls are unscrewed to reveal the team names inside.
Blatter, however, insisted the ruse was never used at FIFA.
“Of course it’s technically possible. That doesn’t happen in FIFA but I witnessed draws, at European level, in which that happened, but never at FIFA,” Blatter told Argentine daily La Nacion in an interview on their website.
“You put the balls in the fridge. The mere comparison between them on touching them gives you cold ones and hot ones. On touching them you already know what you’ve got.
“There was only one person who had that power [to fix draws] in Europe. Artemio Franchi did it for the draw in club tournaments,” said Blatter, referring to the late UEFA president who was in charge of Europe’s governing body from 1973 until he died in a road accident in Tuscany in 1983.
UEFA described Blatter’s allegations as “absurd”.
“Allegations that UEFA has in the past fixed draws for its competitions are completely absurd and therefore not worth a reaction,” UEFA said in a statement on Tuesday.

Blatter denies Argentina deal for 2014 World Cup draw

Blatter, banned from all football-related activities over ethics violations amid the worst graft scandal in FIFA’s history, also denied there had been a deal between himself and the late Argentine FA president Julio Grondona after Argentina’s favourable draw for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
“The draw was clean down to the last detail. I never touched the balls, something others did. Of course you can make them stand out, heating them or freezing them,” he said in the La Nacion interview published on Monday.
Argentina were drawn with Nigeria, Bosnia and Iran in Group F at the tournament in Brazil and went on to reach the final where they lost 1-0 to Germany.
Swiss Blatter, 80, was among dozens of FIFA officials brought down after revelations of years of corruption in the sport’s world ruling body.
Blatter and Michel Platini, president of European football governing body UEFA, were banned over a payment of 2 million Swiss francs ($2.82 million) made by FIFA to the Frenchman in 2011, with Blatter’s approval, for work done a decade earlier.
Both men have denied any wrongdoing.

Controversial SA pastor orders members of his congregation to fall into a deep sleep, jumps on their bodies (photos)

Sorry but I have to say this. This guy is a maniac disguising as a man of God and needs to be stopped. The South African pastor, who has in the past committed outrageous acts with his congregation and has had his church shut/burnt in the past, has struck again.

This time, while ministering to his congregants, Penuel Mnguni, commanded some of them to fall into a deep sleep. He then stepped on top of their bodies and jumped up/down. After doing this, he allegedly commanded them to wake up. When they did, he asked if they felt any pain and they all confirmed not to have felt anything. Lol
