It seems AFRIMMA organizers think Stanley Enow is Adah Akenji-Photo

So after seeing this AFRIMMA nomination  flyer that was made  public to show nominees for Best Central Africa Males, I could not cease to wonder if the error was noticed.

Come to think of it, are the AFRIMMA organizers  actually  implying  they facially don't  know the Stanley Enow they nominated  or it was just another mistake?I have also been wondering why Adah Akenji?. Could this be Photoshop arts?.

well, if this is some silly  mistake then it needs to be rectified  ASAP because  it's really  sensitive. So much negligence.

Notwithstanding, visit the AFRIMMA website and keep voting .

And to think it was endorsed  on their social media page using horrible English language  to pass on the information. SEE BELOW

2016 GCE Results could be Published on Media

An announcement by the GCE Board has asked media organs wishing to publish this year's GCE results to contact the Board. The announcement by the Registrar of the Board, Humphrey Monono on state media suggests that soft copies of the results will be made available to interested media upon payment of a specified sum, but hard copies won't be available.

Anxiety already ran high the other day when unverified information on social media suggested the results had been released.

Parents and candidates have been even more anxious over whether the results will be immediately accessible.

Last year, the results were only available to selected mobile telephone networks. This method has been heavily criticised. It is unclear however whether in addition to giving the results to the media, mobile phone companies will still be privvy to them.

Problems with phone network signals left most parents and candidates queuing at windows of private business places which had acquired the results to buy them.

The release of GCE results usually spurs up frenzy amongst parents and candidates who usually cannot bat an eyelid until they access the results.

Clearly, the decision by the GCE Board to now make the results available to the media after it had stopped doing so for some years now means the results could be more widely available this year than before.

Dangote is no longer amongst the first 100 rich men in the world;see his worth now

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCYjmFWmKfyMg-tE3I-UGWwcTQ_Uc-AEa2okX4kGoG-UXtLTCqoM5kuEuTwYqkMKepRVPXA4IWCZ-Aqu6eIgVpMT_d6QPe8yLc2Wyk4W7pGaffhXC-4rRMLmOfW5wezYoP0TAT1MLi529S/s1600/
Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, has dropped out of the list of top 100 richest people in the world. This is largely due to the devaluation of the Naira. Dangote who owns the second largest sugar-refinery in the world, remains richer than American billionaires, Donald Trump, and Oprah Winfrey who ranks as the second richest black woman in the world.

Dangote is now worth $11.1 billion, while Trump and Oprah are estimated at $4.5 billion and $3.1 billion, respectively.

The devaluation of the Naira against the dollar from about 198 to about 300, has eroded about a quarter of Dangote’s wealth as he continues to invest heavily in Nigeria. At the launch of the new foreign exchange regime on June 23rd, Dangote fell from number 46 on the world billionaire list to 71 and has continued to drop as the Naira continues to crash.

According to Bloomberg billionaires, Dangote, who was worth $15.4 billion (N3.05 trillion) in March, is now worth $11.1 billion (N3.3 trillion) - richer in naira but poorer in dollars.

See British man who spent about £20k on surgery to look like the Kardashian-photos

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS51xAFd5aRWPFT2B4DwNatYaE99oIeV2FVuFdSHSTNxxFO175GIp2WdkhoEfxoplM-Ynne7bGygZ063KViSd9cQMW20nqBkbEDrOeNLUu-6zZnWY5slUd1amlsN3MBrIrI5usgV8xtGA/s1600/
22 year old James Holt, from Bury, Greater Manchester, has splurged £10,000 on his lip fillers alone to look like the Kardashian sisters. He also spent £3,000 on Botox, £2,000 on cheek filler, filler under his eyes, and filler on his jawline and even said he is willing to have six ribs removed to achieve his ideal hourglass shape.

His first surgical procedure was at age 17, five years after, James has transformed totally.
“I’m going to be really fake looking – that’s the look I’m going for,” he said. I love the Kardashians, especially Kylie and Khloe, but Kim is past it now. I love that big butt and small waist look. Since Kylie started getting big lips a year ago it’s become really fashionable. Mine are bigger than Kylie’s now.”

His first appointment was at a local salon which he had his first bout of Botox and lip injections. He said:
“I went to college the next day expecting everyone to be amazed and to comment on my lips, but no one said anything I went back the next morning and had another 1.5ml put in, but still no one noticed. By the end of the week I had 6ml and everyone said it looked amazing. I loved my look. It was big and juicy and it was just what I wanted.”
After a few days, bubbles started to form on his top lip, resembling a “w” shape. The Filler then began to leak from his pout and he rushed to another clinic in Bury to fix the botched procedure.
Undeterred by the horrific results of his first brush with surgery, he has continued to alter his look.
He now tops up his filler every two months, to keep his luscious lips in prime condition.

He has regular appointments to keep his eyebrows in shape and loves to contour his cheekbones.

When the Kardashians posted a picture on Instagram wearing waist trainers, he rushed out to buy one of his own. Now the moment he wakes, he squeezes into the size eight corset and keeps the contraption on for up to eight hours a day. But so far, he is unhappy with the results.

“I was using it to push the ribs in to make them smaller, but as soon as you take it off it goes back to normal. I want six ribs removed because I think I have too much ribcage. It makes me look bigger than I am.”

Continuing his quest to completely transform his look, James will fly to Poland in August to have a £4,000 nose job. He also plans to have a chin implant, his toes straightened and fat transferred to his behind to create a round bum. Though the procedures do not come cheap, James is spoilt with cash from his three sugar daddies. In return, James gives them scantily clad pictures of the jaw-dropping results. He explained:

“The most I’ve been given is £2,000, but I usually get around £400.“You’ve just got to squeeze as much money out of them as fast as you can. And when they start pressurising you to meet them, you block them.” “My two main sugar daddies know me and have met me, but I’ve not had a sexual relationship with them or any others. I don’t know what they’re getting out of it; they don’t get much from me.They’re just making me happy.”

“Lots of people will do double-takes and whisper stuff to each other. Some are really bold and they’ll come up to me and say, ‘Look at the state of your face’ or ask me if I’m afraid my lips will explode. I don’t care though; if they’re looking, they’re looking. I’m having these procedures to draw attention and occasionally that attention can be negative.”

“I’ll stop at nothing to have these procedures done. My goal is to be loaded and to be in a nice house with a nice car and have all the surgery I want.”

Koffi Olomide pleads for help after being sentenced to jail

– Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide, is urging his fans to show their support for him by having his image tagged “Je Suis Koffi Olomide” (I am Koffi Olomide) as their profile pictures on social media

– Olomide was on Tuesday, July 26, found guilty of assaulting one of his female dancers while they were in Kenya

– Both the musician and the dancer denied the claims but a video clip used as evidence had a different angle

Disgraced Congolese musician Koffi Olomide is now rallying his fans to stand with him.

Koffi Olomide, though his official Facebook account, asked his supporters to replace their profile pictures on social media accounts with his.

“To all our friends, due to the injustice against Koffi Olomide, we kindly ask you to put this photo of our artist on all your accounts, social networks as a sign of protest and support for Koffi Olomide,” reads the post published on Tuesday, July 26.
According to Koffi Olomode’s handlers, the 18-month jail term given to him after being found guilty of assault was unfair.

Olomide has asked his supporters to use this photo with the French phrase “Je Suis Koffi Olomide” (I am Koffi Olomide).

The prosecutor refused to listen to the dancer supposed to be the victim, they said.

After the said assault on Friday, July 22, Koffi and dancer issued a statement both saying that all was good between them.

“Koffi did not attack me, it was a girl at the airport who was threatening me and Koffi came to defend me… Koffi can never beat us in public, he loves his dancers and he does not beat us. He is not someone who is aggressive… we don’t have any problem,” she said.

The explanation did not save him as he was arrested and deported a day later following Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet’s order.

The Guardian UK talks about Cameroon's Young tech Entrepreneur (read here)

 Njorku’s founder Churchill Nanje
Churchill Nanje, a 30-year-old who created one of Africa’s biggest job search engines, wants to help others follow in his footsteps

“People say I look way younger and talk way younger than my age,” grins Churchill Nanje, sitting behind his desk in jeans and a T-shirt, in the small town of Buea, south-west Cameroon. Aged 30, the software engineer can hardly be classified as old, and looks like he should still be at university. Nanje is the founder of Njorku, one of Africa’s biggest job search engines.

“Basically we are like a Google search engine for jobs in Africa,” he explains. Unlike other sites, Njorku does not host the jobs – it searches the internet for them, meaning it can be used anywhere on the continent. “Recently we saw a lot of traffic from Sudan, like 500 users daily. I don’t even know how they got to us.”

Report explains delay in Clinton N’Jie’s Marseille move, new injury won’t force deal to collapse

http://www.tottenhamjournal.co.uk/polopoly_fs/1.4211827.1440698682!/image/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_630/
Tottenham forward Clinton N’Jie is waiting for the renewal of his working visa as he prepares to join Marseille.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton N’Jie is still set to join Marseille despite picking up a new calf injury.

N’Jie, 22, only signed for Spurs last summer having hit eight goals for Lyon during the 2014/15 season, but already appears to be heading for the White Hart Lane exit door.

The Cameroon international failed to start a game in the Premier League last season, and missed almost five months of the season through injury in a frustrating campaign.

Now, manager Mauricio Pochettino looks set to be ruthless and move N’Jie on in order to sign Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, with N’Jie heading in the opposite direction.

The deal seems to have slowed down in recent days though, and Sky Sports have moved to explain the delay – but it isn’t to do with N’Jie picking up a calf injury.

Sky Sports claim that N’Jie is merely waiting for the renewal of his working visa in France having been out of the country for around a year, and once that is sorted, N’Jie should join Marseille on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

N’Jie’s calf injury is only going to keep him out for around ten days, meaning the deal shouldn’t collapse, and having completed a medical with Marseille over the weekend, the completion of the deal seems like only a matter of time now.

With Nkoudou waiting, Spurs should add another pacey wide man to their ranks, but manager Pochettino will be praying that Nkoudou is more of a success in North London than N’Jie was.

Popular Congolese musician Koffi Olomide has been charged with assault and battery

Koffi arrested
Congolese musician Koffi Olomide has been arrested and questioned in his home town of Kinshasa, adding woes to the famed singer who was deported from Kenya for kicking a woman.

“May the righteousness of man be just and fair,” Mr Olomide, one of Africa’s most celebrated musicians, updated in his Facebook page moments after his arrest in Congo.

The BBC has reported that reasons for his arrest are still unclear. He was arrested on orders of the Attorney-General.

Mr Olomide’s troubles have extended across the borders after the Agricultural and Commercial Society of Zambia bowed down to public pressure and cancelled his planned shows in Lusaka.

The Society said that the “disappointing” incident was behind its decision to ban the 60-year-old musician, who rivals the recording prowess of the legendary Franco (Luambo Luanzo Makiadi), the legend of Congolese music who died in 1989, but one with an explosive career characterized by violence.

On Sunday, the Zambia Association of Musicians, in a statement, announced that during his last tour in Zambia, on New Year eve 2013, Mr Olomide beat up one of his dancers and photojournalist at a music concert. He escaped a police dragnet to arrest him.

According to Zambia’s Post Newspaper, in 2011, Mr Olomide also escaped arrest by police exiting Zambia on a motorbike over differences with his promoter.

“Koffi has proved to be violent when musicians are generally peace ambassadors,” the association said.

After his deportation from Kenya, Mr Olomide, who is recognized as the most celebrated and distinguished Zaire modern artist, returned home to the welcome of jeers and boos at the airport.

In Togo, lawyers of a cultural promoter have called for his arrest and prosecution after he failed to turn up in Lome for a music concert which he had been paid partly.

In his home country, press reports indicate that he has been implicated in several incidences but his ties to the Kabila government have protected him from prosecution.

In October 2014, he was arrested by the police in Congo because of a nickname, Vieux Ebola (Old Ebola), which he had used in his banners to announce his next music concert.

Mr Olomide was arrested at a time when Ebola had killed 50 people in DR Congo and when his government was fighting allegations of poor handling of the Ebola crisis. The government, told him that the nickname was not welcome.

Other than Vieux Ebola, the musician has almost 35 nicknames and aliases, probably the record for the biggest number of aliases by any musician in the world.

Not so long ago before his arrest, he added “Benedict XVI of the Congo” to his names — much to the chagrin of many Catholics in his country as the name was seen as an affront to Pope Benedict XVI, the immediate former head of the Catholic Church.

Buea: House consumed by angry flames

This afternoon at about 1pm at Soppo in the Buea municipality, a house caught flames. KD could not ascertain the source of the flames, however the flames brought down the bungalow to ashes. The material with which the house was built actually made the work of the consuming fire easier.

This is actually the second fire disaster in less than three weeks that has rendered people homeless and taken people's hard earned  livelihood down to nothing.

This same Buea has no fire fighting squad. I seriously don't seem to get the whole reason behind why a town so active and so vulnerable to fire accidents cannot have a standby squad to resolve issues that so concern them. Well, our hearts go out to this families that have now been rendered homeless.

Hilarious:Worst own goal of all times scored by a Cameroonian goalkeeper (watch video)

Sammy Ndjock
Things went awry quickly for Minnesota United on Thursday , when the team hosted English Premier League team Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly at NSC Stadium in Blaine.

Already down 1-0 to a 24th minute Callum Wilson strike, United made things exponentially worse when the team’s goalkeeper scored perhaps the most improbable own goal of all time barely two minutes later.

Yes, you saw that right. Sammy Ndjock was attempting to throw the ball to, well, somewhere when he accidentally dropped it into his own goal. Ndjock immediately realised his error and attempted to save it, but he failed. Miserably.

“I’m absolutely gobsmacked by that,” United Coach Carl Craig said (via the Pioneer Press) after the game. “Never seen that in me life — ever.”

Whatever happened, though, was likely a freak error. Although disappointed, Craig said he “cannot nail” the 26-year-old Cameroonian for the blunder.

Cameroon:Memvé’élé dam impoundment, with capacity of 200 MW, scheduled for 15 August 2016

Memvé’élé

The Memvé’élé dam, under construction in the area Nyabizan, in the South of Cameroon, will be officially impounded on 15 August 2016, we learn from sources close to the project. This operation, which consists in filling the dam, we learn, will allow the project team and the constructor to observe the behaviour of the different components of this energy infrastructure (embankment, reservoir), in order to judge the reliability.

With an estimated production capacity of 200 MW at peak periods (between 18h and 22h), the dam of Memvé’élé, which will be commissioned in June 2017, is constructed by the Chinese company Sinohydro since 2012 ; and will participate in closing the energy gap suffered by Cameroon.

This energy infrastructure for a total cost of FCfa 420 billion has been principally financed by a loan from Eximbank China, for around FCfa 243 billion, against FCfa 112 billion for the AfDB and FCfa 65 billion for the State of Cameroon.
