The Rastepheri crooner Daphne recently posted a picture of herself on social media and the reaction from fans and followers was not as expected.
She recently posted this picture of herself in entire black, where the pants left her laps out and exposed. Some of her fans and followers could not go without leaving comments. Many said she was a lot better than what she wore. Many expressing the good girl gone bad arguments. Even though very few found nothing wrong with what she wore the majority did.

KD readers what do you think about what she wore though?
This is a picture from Mr Biya's recent visit to Nigeria. Nigeria's
President, Mr Buhari shows Paul Biya the various Presidents Nigerians
have had since independence in 1960. Mr Biya is laughing out his lungs.
He could be saying to himself how foolish Cameroonians are.
He
should be thanking his stars for being lucky or maybe he should be
proud for being the smartest African Presidents. However, the Cameroons
people are the only factor to be blame

The kicker, however, is how she flared up and stormed off after being
asked about her smoking and drinking, and how it affects her image as a
role model.

This year 2016 has been the most promising as far as the
entertainment industry is concerned. We are just half way into the year and a
lot has happened. The CAMIFF AND THE FIAFA are two shows that stood out
powerfully as far as success is concerned. If u don’t know yet, CAMIFF is the
Cameroon International Film Festival that held last month ending and hosted
both the National and International Movie stars. It is important to note that
it was the first of its kind. The FIAFA was another show on it’s on. FIAFA is
an annual Fashion show that brings together national and international designers
to showcase what they got as far as Fashion is concerned. Both shows held in
Buea and sailed through successfully.
Despite the success they both enjoyed there are some things
Karawa’s Diary had to point out after observing and listening to KD readers.Let us start by looking a little into the
very first event that took place, FIAFA. According to the flyer of the event,
FIAFA was allocated for commencing at 5pm. Did it start at 5pm? No it did not. The
event started approximately above 5hrs of already allocated time. The question
I could not and cannot still answer is “was the audience responsible for the
late commencement or the organizers of the event?”
Did the late start affect the program in anyway? Well, some
people might say no, but I will tell you that for sure it did. Before the
closing remarks for the event was made like half of the hall was empty as many
people had left. Yes, they left because it was getting so late into the night
and they could not stick around any longer. Some left because they came as
early as said by the flyer but patiently waited and could not hold to the
finish of the event. Maybe some people will say audiences at major events in
Cameroon are disrespectful as they always leave before the close of the events
but I think the event organizers play a major role in that attitude.
Looking at the CAMIFF, it was not an issue of time though
the timing problem was not completely absent. But let us focus on the major
thing that got people reacting angrily. If an event as big as CAMIFF sends
invitations to guests on the day of event is that a major issue? Yes it is an
issue so big to be addressed. What were the event organizers doing the whole
time that they had to send the invitations at a very late hour? This issue of late invitation weighed so much
on other people as they were so embarrassed at the entry door where they had to
show their invitations. The CEO of The Urban Jamz Awards Mr. Atia Valery who
was a victim of this took on Facebook to express his disappointment.
If we need to build a
firm relationship with every other sector of the entertainment industry then we
need to make each other feel the sense of respect by respecting little things
such as sending invitations on time.
It is very true that we cannot have a perfect show but we
can minimize the hitches. Were this all the hitches? Definitely not but we
chose to talk about it.You know how they say, “take care of those little foxes
that spoil the vine yard?” For the industry to grow we need to sit back and
reconsider the little foxes that spoil our vine yard then the big issues will
follow in place.
However ,congratulations to the two initiatives. We only
hope that we experience progression and not regression.
Every member of Claudio Ranieri's squad could be in line to receive a Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive
Leicester's players could be getting new cars from the club's chairman
Leicester's Premier League heroes could be in line for a special gift in the weeks ahead.
The
club's chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, is reportedly keen to give
every one of the title-winning players their own CAR as reward for their
efforts this season.
According to the Daily Mail, the Thai duty-free billionaire will gift each member of Claudio Ranieri's squad with the same vehicle: a Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive, which usually costs in the region of £32,000.
Leicester players could all be given Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drives
There has also been talk of Srivaddhanaprabha – Thailand's fourth richest man
– whisking the playing squad off to Las Vegas to celebrate this
summer... something it seems the American city's press office is keen to
pursue:
It has been a week of celebration for the Foxes, since Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Chelsea confirmed the destination of the title.
The players, who watched that game at Jamie Vardy's house, later went for pizza in the city centre and signed autographs for fans.
Child services are investigating the incident according to local media reports
A three-year-old boy was seemingly photographed snorting cocaine, with the image then uploaded onto Facebook.
The image was uploaded onto social media with the caption: "Mum and dad’s little junkie".
It shows him looking directly into the camera, ready to sniff a white, powdery substance.
Social media users demanded that the child should be taken into care.
However the family, from the small village of Sindel in eastern Bulgaria’s Varna Province, assured users it was just a joke.
Nadezhda Nuri, the boy’s mother, told local media that the substance was not cocaine, but instead was simply flour.
The child and his mother Mrs Nuri
She claims that the image was taken as a joke but then uploaded onto social media by her 13-year-old daughter.
Mrs
Nuri said: "My mother first saw the [picture of the] children and
called me. I couldn’t have done such a thing, I don’t even know how to
write.
"My
daughter must have taken the photo and uploaded it online. I can't do
it because I can't even read or write, never mind use a computer."
Her daughter, who uploaded the photo, says the family joke around with taking photos like the controversial image often.
She said: "I was only joking, I got the idea from Facebook.
"I have never seen real drugs. I once saw a woman on Facebook making lines with flour and then snorting it."
In Buea Municipality, the construction of the training football stadium ahead of the Women African Cup of Nations is currently going on.
On Tuesday the 3rd at about 2-3pm, one of the caterpillar vehicle drivers working at this construction unit of the stadium reported to work as usual to resume duty from where he had left the previous day. After talking to reliable sources, Karawa's Diary was made to understand that the driver in question was actually coming to the field to carry out his very last assignment after which he will return home for good. He came this afternoon with his son as he assumed his work was not going to take long.
Something however mysterious happened at the scene. As the driver tried to mount his Caterpillar, the Caterpillar which was slightly tilted came down on him and had the driver struggling for his life as the caterpillar fell on him. Another caterpillar rushed to the scene and lifted the fallen one for the man to be rescued. He was alive when the caterpillar was lifted off him but not too alive to make it to the hospital. The caterpillar driver died on his way to the hospital.
I bet you will be asking the same questions like I asked after talking to sources around. How tilted could this heavy Caterpillar be to have fallen on this driver at just a step mount? What kind of weight did this driver have to have brought down this caterpillar on himself at just a step mount? In as much as work has continued at the pitch normally, this is mystery that is had to be decoded. May his soul rest in peace.
The wedding reportedly took place in a lavish mansion, where the two actors exchanged vows in front of approximately 50 people.
'It was a beautiful wedding filled with family and close friends," an insider told E! News. "Some cast members from 'Empire' were there. Grace looked stunning."
Byers, 32, proposed to Gealey last July on her 31st birthday after just a few months of dating.
The two stars met on the set of "Empire," which is currently in its
second season. On the show, Gealey plays Anika Calhoun, who was engaged
during Season 1 to the father of Byer's Andre Lyon character, Lucious
Lyon.
The All University Games just ended last Saturday, April 30, but not
without some drama. Cameroonians who were part of the sporting jamboree
may never forget what happened at the football pitch prior to the finals
of men’s football match, pitting the University of Buea (UB) against
that of Yaoundé I.
The match that started with a lot of
controversy and rules bending to favour the Yaounde team saw UB Vice
Chancellor, Nalova Lyonga, so repulsed that uncharacteristic of her, she
openly snubbed Fame Ndongo, Minister of Higher Education.
The
drama was ignited by players of the Yaounde University team deliberate
effort to stay away from the pitch while the Buea team sat there waiting
for hours. The Yaounde team actually walked in two hours late. When the
team from Yaoundé I finally showed up, players and officials of Buea
insisted the game was over and that they were winners by forfeiture
according to the rules.
The Buea delegation, led by Nalova,
insisted the game was over, that the rule be applied and their team
declared winners. Nalova, said she would not want her team to step an
inch back into the pitch any more – she told them to leave the pitch for
as per the rules they have won. All attempt to get the Vice-Chancellor
changed her mind failed. She visibly walk off Fame Ndongo who was trying
to plead. The UB players finally yielded to the Minister and his
cronies and got into the field without the blessings of Nalova Lyonga.
Yaounde finally won through penalties.
At the end of the day, a
visibly angry Vice Chancellor declared that she wasn’t happy with the
outcome of the games. “They organized the University Games for students
to bring out their talents but “people” come and impose rules.” She
quipped.
Culled from Cameroon Journal.
Nathalie Nkoah develops a new passion. Haven hit the
headlines with her book " Revenge Porn" , the former darling of the
great Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto'o was invited into the movie industry.
According to reliable sources, she was given a call to play
a role in a movie. She was approached by a Cameroon film producer during the Cameroon
International Film Festival ( Camiff ) last month .
According to Cameroonian media, the former girlfriend of
Samuel Eto'o supports the request of the producer wanting to be an actress. "I'm
OK with staring in his films” Nathalie said.
Nathalie is unto another adventure of her life after the
several hitches that hit the waves after her leaked Revenge Porn write up.
However, despite the fact the she is taking a new turn into
a completely different aspect of her life, what happened to all the claims made
about her concerning going to prison?
Well, we can only but wish her good luck in her

YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) — Authorities in northern Cameroon say a local
self-defense group used a poisoned arrow to kill a woman with
explosives strapped to her body.
Midjiyawa Bakary, the governor of Cameroon’s Far North region, said
Wednesday that the 40-year-old woman had crossed over from neighboring
Nigeria along with a 14-year-old girl.
Local residents shot the poisoned arrow at the woman after she failed
to stop as demanded. The girl also died when she detonated her own
explosives.
Residents near the northern town of Mora said at least five other suicide bombers have died in the last several days.
The attacks were reported shortly before Cameroon’s president Paul
Biya left for Nigeria to discuss ways of ending Boko Haram violence with
his Nigerian counterpart.
He was found him guilty on April 29, 2016, of embezzling over 10
Billion FCFA during his tenure as General Manager of Cameroon Airlines.
Yves Michel Fotso, the former General Manager of the defunct national
carrier, Cameroon Airlines, Camair, will probably go down in the annals
of the Special Criminal Court in Yaounde as the first accused to
receive two life sentences in less than a week. After being sentenced to
life imprisonment on April 25, 2016, for embezzling 32.4 billion FCFA
in Phase II of the two corruption trials before the court, he was again
slammed another life sentence on April 29, 2016, in Phase I of the
trial. This time around, Fotso was accused of embezzling over 10 billion
FCFA between 2000 and 2002.
Yves Michel Fotso and all five of his counsel were absent in court,
having decided last February not to attend any more hearings, alleging
deliberate attempts by court officials to prevent them from having a
fair hearing. Delivering the ruling, the leader of the trial team, Mr.
Justice Francis Claude Moukouri, ordered the confiscation of about 12 of
Michel Fosto’s frozen accounts in both local and foreign banks. He is
also to pay 9 billion FCFA to the State as compensation for losses
caused by the embezzlement, and 958 million FCFA as the cost of the
trial.
The other trial judges were Mr. Justice Michel Onana and Mr. Justice
Nyassa Luc; while the Advocates General were Mr. Justice Jean Claude
Taghim and Mr. Justice Ngoupa. Michel Fotso was initially accused of
fraudulently obtaining 18.9 billion FCFA between 2000 and 2002. The
suit, filed by Camair’s Liquidation Committee and the State of Cameroon,
concerns 4,051,209,866 FCFA, 4,606,130,515 FCFA, and 8,934,203,742
FCFA, all compensation for the famous Boeing 747 ‘Combi’ aircraft crash
in Paris, France on November 6, 2000. He was also charged with
embezzling 1,400,000,000 FCFA, being the cost of the wreck of the
crashed aircraft he sold.
However, the court struck out the charge of embezzlement of
8,934,203,742 FCFA because the prosecution failed to substantiate it.
Earlier, Advocate General Taghim had demanded a life sentence for Fotso
and the confiscation of all his seized property. Counsel for the Camair
Liquidation Committee, Barrister Ngongo Ottou Martin, asked for 9.05
billion FCFA as losses caused by the embezzlement. Barrister Mujem
Fombad, counsel for the State of Cameroun, supported their position.

Just like Karawa's Diary promised her readers, we were going to be
bringing you detailed analyses from the already passed CAMIFF.
After focusing on Syndy Emade's look on the red carpet last week, we decided to turn our attention to the Hollywood superstar Ramsey Noah. It is worth commending that Ramsey's presence at the CAMIFF alone was
enough credibility for the first edition of the show that lasted 6 days.
Ramsey is one of the top African actors and one of the sexiest
celebrities Africa has.
The top Nollywood
star arrived the red carpet event in a pair of short blue jeans, a
rumple t-shirt and a face cap while others showed up in ball gowns and
tuxedos.
Fans immediate jumped on social media slamming the Nigerian hunk for "disrespecting" the dress code for the event.
One fan wrote, "Is it me or is Ramsey Noah's outfit totally out of place?". Another followed with, "He [Ramsey Noah] thinks we do not know fashion?" Another added, "He looks like he just came from a beach or a mountain tour." Another said, "Lead by example."
The looks before and after
However, defending his look on the first day of CAMIFF, Noah told DECODED TV his look was in deed right for the event.
"It's a film festival not an award show," Noah said. "I knew I had to move around a lot, greet and meet people and network… so I didn't think I was wrong with what I chose to wear," he continued.
The following days of the event however, he clothed himself really appropriately. Was this as a result of first day talks?.
KD readers help me here. Do you think Ramsey disrespected the show or not?

KREEF introduces their protégé Mic Monsta. Mic Monsta releases his first
official single titled "FEAR" which is a blend of Western & Afro
Hip-Hop with traditional vocals. This is the karawa's diary video of the week. enjoy and tell us what you think
Karawa's Diary has been keeping up with the Buea's or should I say Cameroon's Hollywood where they hosted the Urban Jamz Award,FIAFA fashion show and the Cameroon International Film Festival, CAMIFF. In as much as Karawa's Diary intends to bring her readers gist on how the events took place in the form of images and texts, we decided to focus our very first attention on one of Cameroon's finest actresses and media person Syndy Emade and to talk basically on how she stunned on the red carpet this week.
Syndy On Red Carpet at FIAFA
Syndy was in an all white dress at the FIAFA night (CLICK here to see FIAFA in images). She stunned the red carpet in this amazing gown with the cape hanging over her shoulders as she posed on her white heels.
This style was however so criticized as her black bra was so visible and really messed up her style. Maybe the gown will have had more presence on the red carpet too without the cape; however, I want to guess that the cape was there to cover the bra stripes that will have probably messed up the white gown even more. I also think this photo was basically too revealing of the texture of her skin like on her face and leg. I am convince she is more beautiful than what this picture says.
Notwithstanding, Syndy had an amazing hair do,wonderful make-up and she did wear that smile that always lights up her beautiful face more. KD readers what do you think?
Syndy at the African Magic Night CAMIFF
Her dress on the CAMIFF red carpet was everything a fashion slay. She nailed it with this design by J and L. First of all its amazing to see her grace the CAMIFF red carpet putting on a Cameroon design. I think its something worth commending as most of the Cameroon entertainers don't wear clothes by their own Cameroon designers.
Her dress was on point, hair on point, makeup on point, shoes on point, I mean Karawa's Diary thinks she just stole the show with this one
Stay tuned to our CAMIFF and FIAFA analyses.
