This is a ranking of the National Statistics Institute (Ins) that positions the city of Buea as the most expensive city in Cameroon. The city of Bafoussam and Ngaoundere are a laggard.
In 2015, the cost of
living is increasing in Cameroon, inflation rose from 1.9% in 2014 to 2.7% in
2015. This is the general observation made by the National Statistics Institute
( ins).
Only this inflation
varies across regions of Cameroon. The regional capital of the Southwest,
garners the highest price increase (4.3%). The capital of the northern region,
Garoua records 3.6% increase.
Ebolowa (3.5%),
Bamenda (2.9%), Yaoundé (2.9%), Douala (2.5%) and Bertoua (25%). inflations
observed the flow of food prices, which rose 1.9% in 2015 against 1.0% in 2014.
Including a 4.3%
increase in prices of fish, 11.7% smoked fish, meats 1.1%, 3.2% mutton, 2.1%
for pork and broiler believes 2%.
