Tottenham have been boosted by the return of frontman Clinton Njie to full training, raising hopes he could play in the near future.

The summer signing from Lyon damaged his knee ligaments just prior to Christmas and has not been seen since.

The Cameroon international has struggled to make much of a name for himself this season but he may be in the squad for the clash with Manchester United this weekend.

Tottenham have not beaten United in the league at White Hart Lane since 2001 but need to on Sunday to try and keep the pressure on league leaders Leicester. Should he not return in time for the visit of Louis van Gaal and co, Spurs will be hopeful Njie can feature in the final few weeks of the season.
