Douala: New Director for Laquintinie Hospital

[click to enlarge] "Right now, I'm so emotional that I cannot even speak so well”. The news has just  came in via a phone called . Reached by telephone, Dr. Louis Richard Njock new director Laquintinie hospital in Douala, meets the CT reporters after serving at the  Edea regional hospital annex (On time), where he still officiated as leader until his appointment yesterday April 12, 2016 at noon by a decree from the Prime Minister. He needs to regain his senses, he said. Besides, his voice reflected his joy. And in the coming hours, he promises, he will answer all the questions of the reporters of CT (Cameroon tribune).

After five years at the head of the Hre as first director appointed in 2011, Professor Richard Louis Njock returns to Douala where he will notably lead the Bonassama District Hospital for two years. Since 2004 he has been the head of the Otorhinolaryngology Service (ORL) of the general hospital in Douala. The specialist, aged 49, is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Yaoundé.

While it does not rule out on the challenges ahead in his new assignment, explaining that he will first have working sessions with its hierarchy, it is clear that the task of Professor Louis Richard Njock  is  a difficult one as per the announcement. If we had to find a primary goal, it would be to restore the image of the hospital Laquintinie, targeted at all the criticism. He replaces Dr. Jean II Dissongo, who spent four years.

What is expected of the new Director includes the implementation of the directives of the Minister of Public Health André Mama Fouda, dated March 31, 2016, relating to the reception, guidance and care of patients.
