Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer to the Premier League:Its a step down claims Silva

PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic warms up before the game

Silva isn't impressed by the league Ibrahimovic is expected to join.

Thiago Silva has warned Zlatan Ibrahimovic he would be taking a “step down” if he moves to the Premier League.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Ibrahimovic is set to be out of contract this summer and is a big-money target for Manchester United, while he has also been offered to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Ibrahimovic will be in Manchester on Wednesday to face City for a place in the Champions League semi-finals, and Silva has added some spice for the second leg by suggesting English football is second rate.

PSG captain Silva said of the Swede: “He is my good friend, but also at 34 he is playing the best football of his career. He is one of the best in the world, he is unique, there is not another player like him.
“Of course I want him to stay at PSG, I cannot imagine us without him.

"I know he has offers from England - and it is a big league - but I don’t think there is a team in England that is at the level of PSG at the moment. For me it would be a step down in quality for him.”
Ibrahimovic has yet to be offered a new deal by PSG, who are one of the clubs - also including United and Bayern Munich - in for Everton’s 22-year-old striker Romelu Lukaku.

But United would be strong favourites to get Ibrahimovic if Jose Mourinho takes over at Old Trafford this summer as the pair have a very strong relationship.
