Boko Haram opens radio station
Abuja – Terrorist group, Boko Haram, has set up an FM station broadcasting on 96.8 frequency, the Hausa service of Voice of America has said.
According to the report, villagers living in the village of Tolkomari in the far north state of Cameroon said they tune to the station.
The station is being used by the terrorist group to spread its propaganda challenging statements from authorities that they are winning the war.
The station broadcast mainly propaganda messages to counter media reports of victories by troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic against the insurgents.
Recently the Nigerian army have been recording successes in their battle against Boko Haram.
The Nigerian government is yet to react to this latest development.
