On Monday, June 6, 2016, around 2:00am a man named Evans popularly known as Daddy, former cigarette vendor and a student at a security guard training school in Mbengwi was stabbed to death by his friend. Evans just finished training as a security guard in Mbengwi.
Evans was out in a bar where he went out to hang out with friends and celebrate his success. Evans was given 3days of rest to visit family and friends before returning to his place of duty owing to the fact that he had just graduated. During the celebration out in the bar with friends, another supposed friend who had just been recently released from prison called him outside. An argument broke up between the two and the ex-convict took out a knife and stabbed him.He was rushed to PMI hospital Nkwen where he did not make it. The murderer was aprehended and taken to the Metta quarter police station where he is presently awaiting trial.
